This is forum is, first and foremost, a roleplaying/writing forum. Everyone's welcome to chat in the appropriate section, but please keep in mind that fiction and writing is what we're here for.

So, the rules:

1: Respect. I cannot state this strongly enough. We are all here to have fun, and if we don't respect each other, that can't happen.

2: Swearing is acceptable as long as it isn't directed at another member. You can say fuck, but not fuck you. This doesn't apply to characters, and they are more than welcome to cuss each other out, as long as they aren't being used as vehicles for your animosity towards another member.

3: Adult content in your writing is fine, but adult content is not the same thing as pornography or smut. This is not the place for in depth descriptions of your characters' sex lives. Posting adult content outside of your writing is definitely against the rules, though.

4: No advertising. If you want to mention your forum/website/deviantart/etc. in your signature, that's fine. (This is true only if the website plug in your signature isn't obnoxious or distracting.)

5: No spam. This one should be pretty obvious. Don't double post if you can avoid it, edit your posts instead (this doesn't apply to threads for your own original fiction).

6: One account only. If for some arcane reason you need a second one, take it up with an admin.

7: Please make your display name (if not your username) something fairly sane. One or two words would be good.

8: Please, no animated avatars or signatures. They almost always get irritating.

9: This isn't a terribly strict rule outside of the roleplaying section, but please make an effort to write clearly. The forum has a basic spell checker, and it isn't that hard to utilize basic grammar and punctuation.
